SMS privacy

Vanilla SMS is operated by Vanilla Telecoms for Maltashopper. It uses Shopify customer names, phone numbers, customer groups, and SMS consent to send marketing messages requested by the store.

How your data is used

Eligible phone numbers and message content are shared with GO to deliver texts. Send records and unsubscribe choices are stored on Cloudflare. Shopify access credentials are encrypted. Your data is not sold by this app.

Your choices

Use the unsubscribe link in a message to stop marketing texts. We save your choice immediately in this app and update Shopify. If Shopify is temporarily unavailable, we keep blocking sends here while retrying that update.

Access and deletion

Contact Maltashopper through its normal customer support channels for a copy of your data or to request deletion. Shopify customer deletion requests remove the matching records in this app. Store deletion requests remove the store’s records.

Send records are kept to report delivery, prevent duplicate texts, and handle customer requests. Contact helpdesk@vanilla.net.mt for app support.
